ID Card
What certification do I need to receive medical marijuana from HPRC Delivers?
You need a valid (as in current, non-expired) drivers license OR state-issued ID card, along with your medical marijuana patient identification card issued by one of the following organizations:
California Medical Marijuana Program
San Francisco Department of Public Health
The Patient ID Center
These cards allow us to verify your status online as a valid patient. We do not require a copy of your recommendation if you hold one of these cards.
What if I have a MediCann card?
If you have a MediCann card, we will ask you to provide our driver with a copy of your recommendation at the time of your first delivery.
Why can’t you accept my doctor’s recommendation?
Our primary mission is to provide compassionate care through medical marijuana delivery to all qualified patients; we do not have the resources to determine your eligibility. The organizations listed above will be happy to accept your doctor’s recommendation and provide you with an identification card indicating that you are a qualified patient.
How do I get a doctor’s recommendation?
See a doctor.
Your primary care physician might provide you with a recommendation, though due to political and peer pressures, some doctors simply won’t provide you with anything that could be considered as a suggestion you consider medical marijuana. If that’s the case, or if you’d simply rather not have that conversation with your regular doctor, then you might consider consulting one of these physicians:
